Microbiologically Influenced Corrosion - TEG 187X
Monday, March 17 - 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. This symposium contains technical papers concerning the impact of microbiological processes on the performance of metallic and non metallic materials. Contributions will explore the mechanisms and modeling of microbiologically influenced corrosion (MIC) and assess the influence of physicochemical and microbiological factors on biodeterioration processes and materials performance. Papers will describe recent advancements in monitoring and understanding the microbial ecology, as well as present new techniques for online monitoring of MIC and environmentally friendly control methods.
