In recent years the Middle East oil industry has seen tremendous growth in oil producing and handling facilities, matched by an increased number of cathodic protection installations.  The monitoring of large numbers of new CP systems presents special challenges.  This paper discusses the development and field testing of a pilot remote monitoring system for CP systems protecting well casings, plants and pipelines.
