Coupled multielectrode array sensors have been used for online and real time corrosion monitoring. In certain cases, the accuracy may be affected by the internal cathodic currents that flow within the most corroding electrode. A method has been proposed for the estimation of such internal currents on the measurment of localized corrosion rate.
