Novel Oxidation Power Corrosion Sensor for Monitoring Corrosion of MiIitery Equipments and Field Structures
Dr. Lie Yang and Xiaodong Sun, Corr Instruments, LLC

A novel method for monitoring bounding values or estimating the true values of corrosion rate for metallic equipment or field structures is presented. The sensor is made of a non-corroding metal and measures the oxidizing power that a corrosive environment may have that causes the metal to corrode. Examples for detecting/monitoring metal corrosion under paints, in liquid, concrete, or soil will be discussed.
