USMC CPAC Program Overview
Matthew Koch, CPAC, MARCORSYSCOM

The USMC CPAC Program provides corrosion control support to ground weapon systems throughout their service lives.  This is accomplished through three main support areas:  1.) Sustainment, 2.) Acquisition and 3.) Applied Research and Testing.  This helps provide the Marines with vehicles that are inherently corrosion resistant and ready to perform the mission at hand.

The current concept of operations for CPAC begain in early 2004 and since then had had numerous successes.  These have included:  organizational maintenance and evaluation of 75,000 ground systems; establishment of intermediate paint facilities at all major MEF installations; incorporation and evaluation of corrosion control technologies in new system acqisitions; co-development of acquisition requirements with the Army; and testing / implementation of effective corrosion control solutions into acquisition and maintenance processes.

This presentation will provide an overview of the current CPAC Program and its accomplishments over the past four years.
