There are a variety of specifications both private sector and military/public sector addressing cathodic protection requirements.  This presentation will provide an overview of the various specification documents and the critical issues associated with compliance to the specification requirements.  In addition, this presentation will provide some guidelines for evaluating cathodic protection system proposals along with questions to ask of potential cathodic protection suppliers with an emphasis on assuring that the systems being procured are compliant with the specifications provide the greatest lifecycle value and are designed to assure reliability over the operating life of the system.
