Wear Resistant Coating for Downhole Tubulars and Tools

A new thermal spray hardsurfacing solution for wear mitigation and shape creation has been developed, tested and is being used successfully on down hole drill pipe, casing and tools.
Laboratory test results for wear, fatigue and corrosion are presented  with examples of field applications which demonstrate the utility of this technology to solve drilling problems.
