Corrosion-Related Consequences of Biodiesel in Contact with Natural Seawater

Experiments have been designed to evaluate the implications of natural seawater addition to biodiesel.  Alterations of  the electrochemical/corrosion behavior of carbon steel exposed to the fuel/water mixture, fuel/water chemistry, and microbial populations are monitored as a function of storage time.
