A parametric study of sour gas corrosion was conducted in order to provide a better understanding of corrosion in sour gas systems.  Various parameters that are known to affect CO2/H2S corrosion were evaluated, including gas composition (CO2 partial pressure, H2S partial pressure, the ratio of PCO2 to PH2S), temperature, reaction time, velocity, and water composition, such as organic acid.  The impacts of these variables on sour corrosion are discussed.
