Prestressed Concrete Cylinder Pipe (PCCP) of 4m in diameter was applied in South-North Water Transportation Projection of China, and sacrificial anodes were used to protect the prestressed wires in PCCP from corrosion. To monitor the adequacy of PCCP’s cathodic protection system, a new test coupon was developed to measure both polarized potential and native potential of prestressed wires in PCCP. The special structure of the test coupon, the function of its assembling components, as well as the performances of embedded electrode reference are all introduced in this paper. Besides, a modeling experiment was conducted to study the performances of the coupon, and the results indicate that it can be used for cathodic protection monitoring of PCCP.
