Cold rolled steel and 2024 T3 aluminum panels were coated with four combinations of the chemical agent resistant coating system (CARC) and exposed to four accelerated environments and outdoors at Cape Canaveral. The accelerated exposures include ASTM B 117, ASTM D 5894, and ASTM D 5894 modified with one week of ASTM B 117 or one week of SAE J 2334 in lieu of ASTM G 85. EIS, color and gloss measurements were taken initially and at regular intervals during exposure. This paper presents the results of the exposures and compares the accelerated data to the outdoor exposure data.
