A number of models are available for predicting time to corrosion, and time to cracking of reinforced concrete structures subjected to chloride or carbonation induced reinforcement corrosion. However, there are few models that try to predict rates of overall deterioration. This paper looks at simple models that can be generated in spreadsheets and their application to a range of reinforced concrete structures
