ABSTRACT This project is mainly concerned with the effect of Acid concentration on the microstructure of Anodized Aluminum. Anodization is the most popular method of protecting aluminum from corrosion. However, the concentration of the electrolyte (sulphuric Acid) used in anodization tends to affect it's microstructure. This shows that the microstructure of the anodized samples at varying electrolyte concentration , under a predetermined voltage and predetermined time, with the electrolyte at a predetermined room temperature , reveal á – Al (white) distributes along the grain boundary with some black like layer, which is distributed in the matrix of aluminum alloy, with increase in acid concentration.
