The 935, 718 and 7716 superalloys may cover a wide range of oil and gas applications. These alloys are available in three different mechanical strength lines: 110/120 ksi Minimum Yield Strength (MYS), 140 MYS and 145 ksi (aim 150 ksi) MYS. The corrosion resistance of these materials has been determined through an R&D programme of corrosion tests in severe environmental conditions up to NACE Test Level VII but at 300 °C and in the presence of elemental sulphur. Properties of these materials and results of this test programme are herein presented and discussed.
