Corrosion Protection with Fluoropolymers

Fluoroplastics show the best chemical resistance among the plastics. Fluoro plastics are inert to almost all kinds of chemicals in the temperature range of -60 deg C to 260 deg. C. Fluoroplastics show excellent non-stick properties and low friction properties giving these materials widespread use in the chemical and oil and gas industry.

The physical and chemical properties of the different kinds of fluoropolymers will be discussed.  Application technically focus will be on the coating process vs the lining process with pros and cons. The coating process will be presented in detail. Examples will be presented on the different types of applications. 

Finally 2-3 cases will be presented. One of the cases will be desulphurisation of fluegas at high temperatures.
